A distributor that was founded to form a channel in the UK for IP PBX firm LG-Ericsson, says that its targets have been smashed in their first half a year of trading. The firm, Pragma Distribution, established by three ex-Crane executives in the summer of 2012, is currently doing business with 70 resellers as it brings even more UC, data and voice kit from LG-Ericsson to the UK.

The next event for interoperability testing of SIP trunking has been announced by the SIP Forum in a bid to help the industry adopt SIPconnect’s 1.1 Technical Specifications. The SIPconnect-IT event will be held at the University of New Hamphire’s Interoperability Laboratory over five days in May. The event will provide equipment vendors , service providers, and application developers with a platform that will test and demonstrate implementations of the interoperability testing that will take place in a live network.

East Coast, the train operator, has turned to O2 Unify in order to consolidate the firm’s communication and IT infrastructure. The deal is valued at £2.6m. Part of the work will include the updating of local-area networks and wireless-access networks, which will upgrade the firm’s IPT systems to incorporate unified communications, as well as relocating 1,600 mobile phones to the O2 network.
