American company Cablevision Systems Corp recently confirmed that Optimum Voice® SIP Trunking is certified with Barracuda Networks’ CudaTel 270 Communication Server. The platform offers small businesses an efficient voice service, enabling them to benefit from an IP PBX system without the costs associated with a customary T-1 solution or analog gateway.

Cablevision’s Business Product Management Vice President, Joseph DeLotto, said:

“Optimum Voice SIP Trunking appeals to small businesses because it delivers premium value and ease of management. Customers that pair our SIP Trunking service with the CudaTel Communication Server gain access to sophisticated voice features, simplified configuration, reduced equipment costs and significant room to scale versus traditional business trunking solutions offered by the telephone company.”

Optimum Voice provides VoIP access, as well as making powerful network-based IP telephony features available to all IP-PBXs already certified, thus simplifying configuration and reducing equipment expenses for businesses, said Cablevision in a press release. It added that the service also enhances voice quality by directly providing customers’ LANs with IP interfaces. It is made available thanks to a converged date and voice network, with customer support on hand 24 hours a day. Optimum Voice is certified with a number of technology companies, which offer its customers a wide choice of business telephony systems from which to choose.

The CudaTel Communication Server, which offers seamless video and voice communication, is a next gen, user-friendly and cost effective system designed for businesses, says the press release. The high-end feature set comes with automated attendant and conferencing services. A user-friendly web interface acts as a control panel, enabling the user to access each feature.

Barracuda Networks Vice President, Sean Heiney, said that the solution, along with SIP trunking, offers businesses an all-in-one, powerful system without complex installation, and provides adequate flexibility so that any size of business can scale as many as 24 lines, and as few as four.
