IT professional demand in Latin America needs to be addressed, says Cisco

Countries in Latin America are seeing an increased demand for employers who have received training in communication and information technologies, such as IP telephony. So much so, in fact, that a study has predicted that demand will surpass supply by as much as 35 per cent in 2015.The study, which was given the name ‘Networking Skills in Latin America’, was conducted by independent consultant IDC for Cisco.

Majority of US firms opt for IP telephony

A survey in the US has revealed that 84 per cent of businesses have taken to IP telephony. The study was carried out by research company Ovum, which organised the research for Dimension Data, a provider of unified communications. This is high in contrast to the worldwide average, which stands at 75 per cent. The survey questioned employees and IT managers from businesses throughout the world.
