VoIP call recording from Packnet allows you to record any of all the calls within your organisation.

Using our online portal Metis, you can control the recording of inbound, outbound or both sets of calls. Call recording is a tool which is becoming the norm within all kinds of businesses. Businesses that are regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) are complied to record calls, but in other industries such as Legal, Accountancy and advice driven businesses, call recording is becoming the norm.

The Packnet VoIP call recording solution allows you to have your calls recorded but also choose the length of time that your business wants to have the recordings stored within our network. You can choose from 30 days up to 180 days. Using the Metis system and its powerful reporting tools you can find any call which has been recorded quickly and efficiently. You can download and attach a copy of this file to your in-house CRM for future reference.

Call recording options are as follows:

  • Record all Calls both Inbound and Outbound
  • Record all Inbound Calls
  • Record all Outbound Calls
  • Record Inbound or Outbound per specific Caller ID.

Call recording billing works by applying a monthly rental charge to the extensions which have been used within the recording cycle. These are recorded as wav files which can be played on the majority of standard media players.

In short from March 2009, companies which are regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) are legally required to record all telephone calls and electronic communications which are associated to client orders and these must be stored for a minimum of 6 calendar months. These files must be able to be made available to the FSA when required and any changes can be identified. The Metis VoIP call recording solution adheres to this.

Call recording is geographically independent, so no matter where your offices or employees are in relation to each other all calls will be centrally recorded within the Metis platform.
