IP PBX
The Packnet Metis system gives the user all the functionality that you would expect within a traditional PBX system. A PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is traditionally a piece of hardware within an office which carries out the servicing of all the inbound and outbound calls that are handled within the office.
The IP PBX (Internet Protocol Private Branch Exchange) is a device which delivers all the voice services across a data network and also interact with the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
The system that Packnet have developed to be a fully Hosted IP PBX is called Metis. Metis is comprised of multiple functions and the IP PBX suite is one of these functions. Within the IP PBX functions there are multiple features such as inbound and outbound call management, fax to email, interactive voice response solutions and VoIP call recording.
