Snom pencilled in for Unified Communications expo

One of the top suppliers of VoIP hardware, snom, is to showcase their flagship products at the forthcoming Unified Communications Expo.

The trade show will take place at the Microsoft Partner Village between 7th and 9th March. Attendees will have the chance to find out how internet based business phone systems can benefit their businesses and how snom’s products are able to capitalise on the functions that Microsoft’s Office Communication solution offers.

snom will be showing off its IP-PBX software and stable of desktop voice over internet telephony (VoIP) phones such as the snom ONE Plus, which enables small to medium businesses to get up and running with an IP telephony network. The number of firms adopting such technology is increasing, as there are significant reductions to be made in operating costs when compared to traditional land line based phone systems; a recent report predicted more than40 million users worldwide by 2015. The snom ONE Plus integrates the latest features, including remote working for employees, a central address book, security and simultaneous desk/mobile ringing.

In addition to their display, snom’s Managing Director for its UK base, Jonathan Greenwood, will be making an appearance to host a session on IP telephony security on 9th March between 11:10 and 11:40. The seminar will address this dangers faced by having an unsecure telephone network, and what small to medium businesses can do to prevent their security from being compromised.

Mr Greenwood said:

“It is a great opportunity to get across to our customers how well our products can work with Microsoft’s platform and the advantages this can bring.

“We’re also very excited about the launch of our all-in-one end-to-end telephone solution snom ONE plus. We couldn’t have asked for a better occasion to launch this product to the UK market.”
