Draytek 2130

Draytek have launched a new 4 Port Gigabit Ethernet switch router. The Draytek 2130 comes with the following features which we think are sure to make it a winner.

  • Broadband Router/Firewall for Cable-modem users or 3G
  • Compatible with VirginMedia™ (Telewest/NTL)
  • Up to 800Mb/s WAN Throughput – ideal for fibre services
  • 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch
  • IPv6 & IPv4 Support
  • WiFi – 802.11n Wireless LAN
  • 3G USB Modem compatible – use 3G instead of Ethernet WAN for Internet connectivity
  • Compatible with Orange, T-Mobile, Vodfone, O2, & 3
  • NAS Facility – Add a USB memory key for shared LAN storage/access
  • Wireless On/Off & WPS Buttons
  • WMM – WiFi multimedia
  • Dial-Out VPN Facilities

This is the first router in the mid range we have seen with all Gigabit Ethernet Ports, so if you want to upgrade your network and have devices which already support gigabit then this is the device for you. We think that when combined with the Snom 870 which also comes with a Gigabit Ethernet Port makes an ideal VoIP combination.

The only draw back for UK users is that it doesnt come with ADSL/ADSL2+ support as yet but this is sure to follow in the near future.
